We moved to Rosemoor at the end of the 'nineties ourselves. Our previous lives were spent in the Netherlands (Yes, we are Dutch).

When we came to Rosemoor for the first time we immediately fell in love with the place. We were lucky enough to find our predecessors wanting to retire, so this is us now.

Jacqui has formerly been director of the Faculty of Philosophy at Utrecht University. Outdoor life has always been her passion. She gets plenty of that here at our Rosemoor Holiday Cottages, Pembrokeshire.

John is a pharmacist with a love for jobbing around the house. Enough opportunities for that over here!

We both love walking and whenever possible, we are out exploring the Coast Path and areas of interest inland such as Rosemoor Nature Reserve, Wales.

Living with us at Rosemoor are our cat Griselle and our Jack Russell terrier Rosie.

Since coming to Rosemoor, we have said our goodbyes to five cats - all except Vlekje living to a ripe old age luckily. Vlekje and Griselle have only been with us since the end of January 2016, after our last cat, Bertie, died. When we got them from a local rescue centre, blue-eyed Vlekje (Dutch for 'spotty') was about three years old and turned out to be deaf. Griselle (from the French for 'grey') was about one. Both came with their own history and unfortunately Vlekje died after four years. We hope Griselle will be with us for a long time to come still.

Rosie joined us in 2008, as a 4 month old pup, coming from a litter in Trimsaran, near Llanelli. She is a rough coated, short legged Jack Russell: relatively small physically, but with a very big presence indeed.

On the premises you will also find a number of free-roaming chickens and a cockerel (surplus eggs are for sale to our guests) and - once we finish our goat house - two goats.

We make sure none of our pets ever gets inside our cottages: we may love them, but we cannot expect you to do so too.
